Hon Hai works according to the value chain:
Hon Hai - We conduct the carbon reduction and waste reduction according to our goals. In 2021, we reduced 320,925 tCO2e by implemented the energy-saving project, and the usage of renewable energy reached 483,879 MWh. Also, Longhua Campus obtained UL 2799 Gold Level certification, and our Hengyang and Kunshan Campuses received the Platinum Level certification.
Suppliers - We conduct management and consulting, in order to increase the competitiveness of supplier such as assist in obtaining verification statement and building capacity. In 2021, Assisted 98 suppliers in implementing greenhouse gas inventories and 51 suppliers in completing ISO 14064-1 verification, resulting in carbon reductions of 99,297 tCO2e; trialed use of renewable energies at 5 suppliers, and assisted 3 suppliers in obtaining UL 2799 Zero Waste to Landfill verification.
Customers - It is to adopt cooperative promotion to reduce product carbon footprint and enhance product value. In 2021, we published three self-developed electric vehicles to help customers reduce carbon emissions, and one of the circular economy products was patented and also included in the client's environmental responsibility report.
